LIVERPOOL, England (AP) Yossi Benayoun rescued a point for Liverpool by clinching a 2-2 draw with Manchester City in the Premier League on Saturday that does little to help either side's top-four ambitions.

City, which had been dismal in the first half, scored goals through Emmanuel Adebayor and Stephen Ireland after Liverpool had taken the lead five minutes into the second half when Martin Skrtel scored his first goal for the club.

But a minute after City took the lead, Benayoun leveled into an open net in the 77th.
