May 19 12:36 PM PT1:36 PM MT2:36 PM CT3:36 PM ET8:36 PM GMT4:36 AM 北京时间-Harrison says he can't believe there's so much fuss being made about him skipping the Super Bowl champions' White House visit with President Barack Obama on Thursday.
Analysis: Harrison will bypass the traditional ceremony, just as he did when the Steelers were honored by President George W. Bush at the White House in June 2006. Harrison was a backup when the Steelers won the Super Bowl during the 2005 season, but was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year last season. His 100-yard interception return during Pittsburgh's 27-23 victory over Arizona is the longest scoring play in Super Bowl history.

Bush in June 2006.
Analysis: Harrison told Pittsburgh station WTAE-TV he doesn't believe the invitation is all that special, saying if the Steelers hadn't beaten the Cardinals 27-23 with a last-minute rally, Arizona would have been invited. The Steelers had no comment Monday about Harrison's comments. Steelers chairman Dan Rooney was an early supporter of Obama's and has been nominated to be the U.S. ambassador to Ireland.
